More Process Theology

I had a request for this, so here goes some tenats of Process Thought

1. God is within Time, there is no such thing as creation out of nothing. God offers limits thereby making growth possible. God does call us to great complexity or great beauty. As time changes God changes-God advances as people advance. God is only in control of the past since the Present actualizes the future.

2. God is energy as everything else is energy. There is no such thing as spiritual/physical contrast.

3. The Past influences the present by shaping ideals. God shapes subjectively, subjectively shaping what it becomes. God can't determine outcome, as he is not the exclusive factor. Hence, God doesn't create alone.

4. The future is open to all possibilites as we strive for beauty.

5. God readjusts to circumstances, God deals with possibilities. For God doesn't know the future as it is a series of possibilities. God tries to lure us to possibilites.

6. This process has always been.

7. Defined by Di-Polar Theism of Charles Hartschorne who holds that elements of God remain the same (i.e. goodness and wisdom). while at the same time God changes as the universe changes.

8. Big in tolerance, open-mindnesses, and pluralism.

9. God is more relational than mechinal.

10.God needs us or God's ideals couldn't be realized.

11. Christ as example in process thought.

I will deal with a response late in a few days to some of these ideas.
